Commissions
An art commission is a custom piece of artwork created just for you. You share your idea or reference, and I create an original artwork based on your request. Commissions are personalized, meaning no two pieces are the same — I work closely with you throughout the process to make sure the final piece reflects what you imagined, while also staying true to my style.
While I have experience in multiple mediums, I am currently offering commissions in watercolor and ink. My work spans different subjects, with an emerging focus on unifying them through color. I’m intentionally developing a consistent palette to create harmony and mood across my paintings. If you love blues, neutrals, moody vibes, contrast, and atmosphere, you have come to the right place. I am confident your piece will withstand the test of time.
How does the commission process work?
Step 1: Inquiry
Contact me through the form at the bottom of this page and describe the artwork you’d like to commission. A few clear details about your idea are perfect to get started (description, reference photos, vision, and intended purpose).
Step 2: Video Call
After reviewing your inquiry, I’ll reach out to schedule a video call. This gives us a chance to meet and discuss your idea in more detail. If we both feel it’s a good fit, we’ll move forward to the next step!
Step 3: Contract
Once the concept is finalized, I’ll send you a contract via email for review and signature. This ensures clarity and agreement for both of us before I begin creating your unique piece.
Step 4: Creation Process
This is where I get to work, and you get to sit back and relax! I’ll begin drawing and painting your piece. If requested, I can share in-progress photos or videos along the way.
Step 5: Final Delivery
When the artwork is complete, I’ll ship it to you or, if you’re local, arrange a pickup time.
Each commission comes with a Certificate of Authenticity proving it’s originality.

Matting and framing will be determined on a case by case basis! Many factors affect this including artwork size, shipping, and personal preference. Most often, for artworks smaller than 8×10” matting will be included at no additional cost. These details will be discussed at your personal conference call!
(A mat is a thick paper border placed around a watercolor painting inside a frame. It creates space between the artwork and the glass, helping protect the painting while also making it look more finished and professional).
-
I use professional grade Winsor and Newton watercolor paints which will ensure longevity of vibrancy of color!
I also use acid free paper and acid free mats. Acid free means that the paper will not turn yellow over time.
-
Please allow a minimum two month notice for commissions. This will allow ample time for correspondence, video call, purchasing supplies, painting, and shipping!
-
If you are local to the DMV (DC, MD, VA area) we might be able to arrange a meet up!
Otherwise, I ship my artwork by certified mail (it is insured!). Typically this costs between $15-30 and is not included in the base price of the painting.
